The 3M Pride ERG played host to Avenues for Youth for a presentation on LGBTQ+ homelessness. Ryan Berg, Program Director for ConneQT’s LGBTQ+ in-home hosting network, led a conversation on the disproportionate rates of homelessness amongst LGBTQ+ youth, the root causes, and what we as a community can do together to confront the issue and embrace the youth.
Over 25 3M employees attended the Lunch and Learn hour. 3M has been a long time and reliable community partner. The Pride and NEON ERGs have listened, learned, led on this issue with donation drives, and literally have gotten their hands dirty doing yard work at the shelter.
