The Imperial Court of Minnesota proudly presents the first Ice Castle Pageant at the Saloon on Saturday, December 15, 2018. The Saloon is located at 830 Hennepin Ave in Minneapolis. This special event will include special guests, silent auctions, prize drawings, and we will crown a Mr, Ms, Mx, 1st Alternate Mr, 1st Alternate Ms, and 1st Alternate Mx of the Ice Castle. It will be a $5 cover but $15 will get you the VIP drink special. 18+ allowed but anyone under 21 will be required to leave by 9pm. Door is at 5:30pm with the pageant from 6pm-9pm.

Categories of the pageant are Theme Wear, Formal Wear, Q&A, and Entertainment. If you want to be a contestant the entry fee is $25 and it includes a court membership for the next year. You must be at least 18 and a Minnesota resident. Complete rules will be included in your contestant packet issued at registration. Proceeds will benefit the GLBT Host Home Program. It was created in 1997 out of a grassroots effort to address GLBTQ youth homelessness. Originally hosted at YouthLink, it moved to Avenues for Homeless Youth in January 2007. The GLBT Host Home Program is an ‘outside-the-system’ community and volunteer-based response to youth homelessness. It offers a transformative and intimate approach to providing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) youth who are experiencing homelessness with homes and support. They have intentionally kept this program small and non-institutional, with up to 10 youth participating at a time. On top of all of this we will be announcing the candidates for Emperor, Empress, and/or Emprex for Reign XVII!
