Capacity Campaign Corner Update

Thanks to your belief in Avenues and our vision for the future, we’re on our way toward A Home of Our Own – our new site in North Minneapolis. To everyone who has contributed to this journey, whether through financial support, advocacy, or lending your expertise, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your commitment to supporting youth experiencing homelessness has made this project possible.

Here’s what’s new:

We are thrilled to share that construction is well underway at 1404 North 8th Avenue in Minneapolis, the location of our new housing site and headquarters in North Minneapolis! After a comprehensive process of planning, fundraising, and community collaboration, bulldozers are on site and work has begun. This milestone represents the dedication of our staff, board members, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have all played crucial roles in getting us to this point.

What’s next:

Construction is now in active with equipment and crews on site. We expect that the new building will open in the fall of 2026.

In the News:

The groundbreaking has garnered attention from local media, helping to spread awareness about our mission and the impact this new facility will have on our community. So far, the coverage includes:
