A BIG belated thank you to Upper Room Church and their wood-working congregant extraordinaire, Merlin, for creating the interactive art display used at Building on Dreams. The giant house was constructed, painted, and adorned with decorative detail so that Avenues could engage supporters in a fun manner.
The house was used at an activity station at the Building on Dreams in-person event where guests were asked to write-out and adhere their dreams for youth to the house. The messages of hope were diverse and filled with promise. Such activities create a community visualization of the work we collectively do together in partnership with young people experiencing homelessness.
