Over 50 team members from Ecolab’s Connect and Pride ERG’s gathered at the Lake Monster Brewery in St. Paul to assemble the most incredible to-go bags for LGBTQIA+ youth that visit the Avenues drop-in hours at Family Tree Clinic.
This event, months in the planning, produced not only needed supports for LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability but also a great time where everyone learned a little more about this pressing community issue. Ecolab donated high-end water proof “dry-sack” bags that were then filled with water, snacks, socks, essential hygiene products, flashlights, whistles, masks, and so much more. The Ecolab team set-up and assembly line so every employee could fill two bags and then write personal notes of affirmation and encouragement.
Lake Monster Brewery generously hosted the event and also donated $1 per beer sold during the event. With this fun incentive, over 140 beers were sold as the Ecolab team drank up for a good cause. Thank you to everyone who made this project fun and profoundly impactful.
