On Friday March 24th, Executive Director, Katherine Meerse and Young Families Program Manager, Karesia Coley attended the reception for the Midwest Sociological Society Conference and represent Avenues as recipients of the Social Action Award.
The Social Action Committee selects two organizations each year to recognize for their grassroots work in pursuit of social justice and social change. The other recipient was the Minnesota Freedom Fund. Lovely to be in that company!
