Partnership in Action!

Avenues is lucky to have partners who are so willing to lend a hand with any and all tasks that are needed. From concerts, to closet cleaning, to welcome basket building and beyond, our community always shows up for Avenues youth. Here’s how some of our partners have been helping youth thrive lately!

A Visit From Bombas

“Yes, they really donate” was our recurring quote when we hosted the incredible giving team fromĀ Bombas! This generous group visited Minneapolis from Bombas Headquarters in New York City to visit local partners who have been Bombas giving partners. Avenues receives 1,250 high quality socks annually that go directly to youth. A big thank you Kelly, Carrie, Melina, and Katie for visiting us, and all their truly meaningful work!

Comcast Comes Through

Comcast came through and provided our youth supply closets at Minneapolis Avenues with some much needed TLC! In addition to providing high-quality internet access to all youth and staff, the Comcast Business Development group played an integral part in our inventory process and built some welcome baskets along the way as well. All of Comcast’s teams show an invaluable dedication toward youth and their needs, and we’re grateful for the litany of ways they support homeless youth!

Uptown Whole Foods Team Shows Up!

We were thrilled to host the wonderful team from the Uptown Whole Foods, who built us enough welcome baskets to last a few months! This generous team was super engaged, asked great questions, and was so grateful to meet some of our staff as well. Their care toward LGBTQI+ and homeless youth shone through their hard work and dedication to making new youth moving into Minneapolis Avenues feel welcome!

Utepils Rounds Up for Youth

Not only is Utepils Brewing a favorite happy hour spot for Avenues staff, they’re incredible partners, who consistently show up for youth! Avenues was lucky enough to be chosen as their April round-up recipient! Customers rounded up over $1,000 over the course of the month, and Utepils was generous enough to donate a $1/pint during our post ground-breaking party. The Utepils taproom is a great place to meet with others, bonding over a beverage and forging new relationships at their communal taproom. This generous spirit embodies their organization’s ethos as a caring and active participant in their community.

Wayside Album Release Show

Thank you to our friends in local band Wayside, for dedicating their album release show to Avenues! All ticket sales from the show went directly to supporting our programs. This high energy local band energized the intimate Amsterdam Bar and Hall as though they were headlining Madison Square Garden to a group of friends, family, and supporters, culminating in a unique night of fundraising!

Wanna Get Involved?

Avenues will house and support 300 youth in Minnesota this year, and it takes a community to do this work. As a faith group, corporate partner, business group, or civic group, you can partner with Avenues in a way that feels right for your organization.
