On a hot and steamy day in Mid-July, the Johnson & Johnson Pride ERG came to Minneapolis Avenues and transformed the grounds. Mowing, trimming, power-washing, weeding and gardening, limb removal, and cherry-picking kept a dozen volunteers on the constant move.
Avenues really appreciate this sort of hands-on help. The grounds are an extension of the Avenues house, and keeping them usable for the youth to play, socialize, read, and relax is of critical importance. The J&J team picked about 30 pounds of cherries! They have been portioned out to staff and volunteers to create and bake delicious goodies for the next couple of months.
Thank you, J&J, for being such a reliable and resourceful community partner!
