Avenues for Youth was proud to partner with the Jack and Jill Program on Sunday the 26th of March. Development Director, Melissa Cuff and Youth Support Specialist, Dara, met with a group of middle school students and three of their Moms, to talk about young people experiencing homelessness.
The Jack and Jill program is an incredible organization, founded during the depression for mothers with children ages 2-19, and is dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders through volunteerism, philanthropic giving, and civic engagement. The young participants gathered and gave Avenues ethnic hair and skin products! Thank you to the youth, the moms, Celeste, and everyone who for their support.
