Valentine’s Day love is in the air at Avenues for Youth, thanks to an incredible community of supporters. Several organizations came together to celebrate this special day and they not only gave generously, but gave with their hearts.
For the youth staying in our Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park shelters the @urminneapolis Kids program assembled decorations and a ton of candy! Additionally, The University of Minnesota Law School spent their “Raise the Bar” service day not only building welcome baskets for youth entering Avenues, but also created little treat bags with individualized cards.
The Minnesota Association for Justice came through with backpacks stuffed with candy, blankets, flashlights, socks, lip balm, Starbucks gift cards and so much more for youth in our ConneQT and Young Families programs.
And a big thank you to The Anoka Hennepin Credit Union for the gifting every young person a $25 Target gift card! It is community support like this that makes Avenues not just a house, but a home to the youth within it. You are helping to end youth homelessness one young person at a time!
